FAQ
Absolutely!
At SHISHI Ishigaki Island, your safety and enjoyment are our top priorities. Our experienced and qualified guides provide careful support throughout the tour, making it suitable even for first-time snorkelers.
Many guests feel nervous before snorkeling for the first time, but there's no need to worry.
Before entering the water, we provide a thorough safety briefing that covers:
-
How to use the snorkeling equipment
-
Proper breathing techniques
-
Basic snorkeling skills
-
Important safety guidelines
This allows beginners and guests who are not confident swimmers to participate comfortably and safely.
Safety & Flotation Support
During the summer season, all participants wear life jackets to ensure plenty of buoyancy while in the water.
During the cooler months, we provide wetsuits that not only help keep you warm but also add extra buoyancy for increased comfort and safety.
In addition, our guides carry flotation devices and remain close by throughout the tour, providing support whenever needed.
Whether you're a beginner, not a strong swimmer, or participating with children, you can enjoy the experience with confidence and peace of mind.
We look forward to helping you discover the beautiful underwater world of Ishigaki Island safely and comfortably.

[Summer Season: May – October]
Both the air and water temperatures are warm, so we generally provide life jackets instead of wetsuits. If you are concerned about sunburn or jellyfish stings, we highly recommend bringing or wearing a rash guard.
Please keep your personal belongings locked inside the shuttle vehicle or your own rental car. As our shuttle service may be shared with other guests, we kindly ask that you bring as little luggage as possible.
